Saltines: Friend or Foe?
Last night after getting home from Jorsica's maison, I found myself to be quite awake. I did not want to go to bed if I could at all help it. I then proceeded to watch the entire movie Alex and Emma which did not thrill me in the slightest... sorry to say it, Luke Wilson, but that movie was BORING. And kind of weird. So anyways, while I was watching the movie, my brain cells simply were not being motivated into any kind of action, but I still simply was not up to going to bed at the time. I thought to myself, "Self, what kind of action can I engage myself in which will keep me at least interested in what is going on in this room around me?" It doesn't really make sense at all, but the conclusion I came to was to find something to eat as soon as possible. Looking around me, I saw my sister working arduously on her Diversity project for Miss Pratt, a half-empty (or half-full?) can of Rootbeer, all my junk in my window sill... and amazingly enough, an entire package of saltine crackers. Now THAT would do the trick. In a matter of minutes, I had consumed every last bit of dry cracker and salt in that plastic wrapping. Suddenly, I realized something was very wrong with my mouth... I fear the powerful saltiness of that super salty salt on those saltines has burned off all my tastebuds. ALL OF THEM.
This morning at breakfast when I tried eating some frosted mini wheats, I realized it was true. I simply could not taste the frosty side at all except on the very outer limits of my tongue area. Woe is me.
The moral of this story: Saltines are not to be eaten in large massive quantities late at night while watching a frightfully boring movie. Or at any other time... unless you have a delicious bowl of soup before you just begging to be inundated with crumbled up saltine crackers.

Look on the bright side, with all that salt you'll be able to retain a lot of water if you decide to go on a really long hike today.
Now, that's a Rootbeer can that's half full for ya.

I have no comment on the saltines, because surprisingly enough I have never consumed that many (thanks for the warning, losing the sense of taste is my biggest fear in life) but I have to agree with you regarding Alex & Emma. What a dumb movie.
