Looney Luna Lovegood

This blog is not intended to disburse the news, more like... make my own random comments about stuff... actually, I don't think I've ever had a solid piece of news on here ever. So here you go. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Luna Lovegood-- the part has finally been cast to a young girl named Evanna Lynch. You can read all about it here. But like I said, I'm not really here to tell you all about it. I am here to say "Bravo" to those casting directors. Out of around 15,000 girls in a cattle call, they narrowed it down to this girl. And if she fits the part as well as she perfects the look, this Luna is gonna be freakin' amazin'!

"All the subjects required, in short, for an Auror ," said Snape with the faintest sneer.
"Yeah, well, that's what I'd like to do," said Harry defiantly.
"And a great one you'll make too!" boomed Slughorn.
"I don't think you should be an Auror, Harry," said Luna unexpectedly. Everybody looked at her. "The Aurors are part of the Rotfang Conspiracy, I thought everyone knew that. They're planning to bring down the Ministry of Magic from within using a combination of Dark Magic and gum disease."
Harry inhaled half his mead up his nose as he started to laugh. Really, it had been worth bringing Luna just for this. (HBP, US edition, p. 320)
